Overview
You will own daily cash reconciliation, safe counting, and audits for a full-service department store. As a Cash Office Associate at Boscov's, you support the selling floor by ensuring precise cash handling and paperwork. You join a team of retail veterans in a store known for 100+ years of quality. What You'll Do7
- 1Reconcile cash receipts from registers and ensure totals match sales records.
- 2Count the safe at opening and closing, verifying all cash, coin, and paperwork.
- 3Perform audits of register transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- 4Complete daily paperwork accurately within shift deadlines, following company policies.
- 5Repair register issues and answer coworker questions about register operations.
- 6Engage with selling floor associates to ensure customer service runs smoothly.
- 7Maintain secure cash handling procedures, protecting assets and company funds.
Requirements7
- 1Prior cash handling experience is required.
- 2Basic math skills for accurate counting and reconciliation.
- 3Retail or banking experience preferred.
- 4Ability to operate an adding machine.
- 5Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- 6Ability to learn computer systems, POS register, and telxon.
- 7Available to work varied days and hours, including evenings and weekends.
