What You'll Do11

  • 1Review purchase requisitions and collect engineering drawings to generate formal cost proposals

  • 4Evaluate supplier proposals and conduct technical assessments of pricing and delivery
  • 5Negotiate optimal pricing and delivery terms without compromising quality
  • 6Ensure adherence to US government and military procurement regulations
  • 7Perform supplier liaison activities to avoid production delays
  • 8Develop and onboard new suppliers while participating in audits
  • 9Reconcile receipts invoices and payments to guarantee accuracy
  • 10Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction
  • 11Act as point of contact for external customers regarding procurement matters

Requirements10

  • 15+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing especially aerospace
  • 2Proficiency with MRP ERP systems for supply flow scheduling
  • 3Strong negotiation abilities across external and internal stakeholder groups
  • 4Excellent organizational skills to coordinate people and timelines
  • 5Lean manufacturing background preferred
  • 6Demonstrated success in cost savings and process optimization
  • 7Knowledge of outside processing raw materials inventory and Kanban systems
  • 8Expertise in aerospace industry audit procedures
  • 9Familiarity with ERP BI reporting and documentation
  • 10High school diploma or GED minimum requirement
