Overview

Own backend software solutions for mission-critical programs at scale supporting national security efforts. Join a collaborative engineering team delivering secure, reliable software within Agile processes and evolving mission requirements. Work with software engineers, system engineers, and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and maintain backend components. This role offers telework up to 16 hours per week based on sprint priorities and program needs.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and enhance backend software applications from documented requirements and deliver measurable performance improvements
  • 2Design, implement, and integrate backend components within existing and new system environments
  • 3Debug defects, resolve issues, and implement software enhancements to maintain reliability
  • 4Support test procedures and contribute to test automation for software components
  • 5Generate and maintain technical documentation supporting development and implementation
  • 6Collaborate across software, systems, and mission stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
  • 7Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure software quality
  • 8Support Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and team collaboration
  • 9Contribute to continuous improvements in development processes and documentation
  • 10Drive best practices in security, reliability, and maintainability of backend systems

Requirements10

  • 1Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required
  • 2Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope and complexity
  • 3Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 4Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
  • 5Experience supporting the development and execution of test procedures for software components
  • 6Experience generating technical documentation
  • 7Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • 8Experience with AWS
  • 9Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • 10Experience ensuring quality control of developed and modified software
