Automotive Maintenance Technician - Firestone Complete Auto Care
Overview
As an Automotive Maintenance Technician at Firestone Complete Auto Care, you'll own basic vehicle diagnostics and repairs at a store serving up to 150 cars daily. You'll work alongside a skilled team of mechanics and service advisors, learning the ropes of brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical systems. What You'll Do7
- 1Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive issues including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical systems.
- 2Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services on customer vehicles.
- 3Install and perform tire maintenance, including rotations and replacements.
- 4Install batteries and shock absorbers, and check electrical systems for proper operation.
- 5Road test vehicles to verify repairs and identify further issues.
- 6Complete maintenance paperwork and document all work performed in the service system.
- 7Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols.
Requirements5
- 1Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- 2Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks, with a willingness to train.
- 3Reading, writing, and math skills sufficient to complete service orders and parts requests.
- 4Experience in the automotive service industry preferred.
- 5Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
