What You'll Do11
- 1Design and implement internal compliance audits to monitor documentation accuracy and adherence to standards
- 2Conduct audits as directed to support continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance
- 3Oversee response to external audits ensuring proper PHI access and coordinate corrective actions
- 4Collaborate with managers to track client outcomes and identify quality enhancement opportunities
- 5Maintain knowledge of Colorado mental health licensure laws and clinical practice guidelines
- 6Hold CPC or CCSP certifications and create documentation templates aligned with CMS and AMA standards
- 7Implement systems to ensure clinical documentation meets internal policies and federal regulations
- 8Develop templates and processes for consistent patient record management
- 9Stay adaptable to shifting priorities and emerging challenges in healthcare compliance
- 10Communicate proactively about obstacles affecting performance metrics
- 11Uphold organizational values through professionalism and collaborative teamwork
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree or equivalent with two years healthcare auditing experience
- 2Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based certification required
- 3Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint
- 4Bilingual Spanish communication skills preferred
- 5Ability to lift light to moderate weights and stand/sit regularly
- 6Close visual acuity for computer-based tasks
- 7Reliable attendance with consistent M-F 8-5 schedule
- 8Willingness to travel for site training and occasional audit support
- 9Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
- 10Demonstrated reliability and attention to detail in deadline-driven environments
- 11Experience with CPT codes and medical billing documentation standards
