Assistant Manager, Pizza Restaurant Operations
Overview
You will own day-to-day store operations for a high-volume Toppers Pizza location, training to become General Manager within 3-6 months. You'll lead a team of 10-15 hourly staff, drive sales growth, and control costs while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. This role stands out because it offers a structured Management in Training program with pay raises at each of four levels, plus rapid advancement to General Manager. You'll work directly with customers and team members, ensuring every shift runs smoothly and profitably.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage daily store operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving issues in real time.
- 2Lead and supervise 10-15 hourly Team Members, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- 3Drive sales by promoting menu items and upselling to customers.
- 4Control restaurant costs, including food, labor, and supplies, to meet profit targets.
- 5Pass the food safety and sanitation exam within 30 days of starting the program.
- 6Work 50+ hours per week across varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
- 7Train new hires on Toppers Pizza standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
- 8Conduct opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory counts.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of experience in restaurant operations, preferably as shift lead or supervisor.
- 2Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly during shifts.
- 3Stand and move continuously for 8-10 hour shifts.
- 4Pass a food safety and sanitation exam before promotion.
- 5Willingness to work any shift, any day, including weekends and holidays.
- 6Strong communication skills to interact with customers and staff.
- 7Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory counts.
