Apprentice Laborer Swinerton
Overview
Assist with manual labor duties for various construction trades and different environments. Responsibilities include loading unloading and identifying building materials machinery and tools distributing them to appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications.
What You'll Do9
- 1Load unload and identify building materials machinery and tools and distribute them to appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications
- 2Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
- 3Understand and use various tools and machines
- 4Control traffic passing near in and around work zones
- 5Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment movement and adjustment of machinery equipment and materials
- 6Dig ditches or trenches backfill excavations and compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks shovels pneumatic tampers and rakes
- 7Install and maintain perimeter construction fencing and screening
- 8Assist Swinerton Self Perform trades including cement drywall carpentry and electrical with all general laborer tasks and needs
- 9Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements7
- 1Ability to learn new skills with attention to detail
- 2Lift and/or pull 75lbs climb ladders work off ladders man lifts or other equipment
- 3Maintain a standing position for extended periods fully squat bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt
- 4Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions

- 6Adhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and procedures
- 7Support activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directed
