Application Deployment Leader – Azure & Enterprise Architecture
Overview
This role owns the deployment of strategic agentic applications on Hexion's Azure tech stack, guiding prototypes and vendor-built solutions into production. You will lead release governance, coordinate cloud, network, identity, security, integration, data, DevOps, and operational requirements, and advise internal teams and implementation partners. Working closely with AI teams and initiative owners, you will drive agentic projects to successful deployment. This position requires deep expertise in Azure architecture, SAP integration, and enterprise application delivery.
What You'll Do9
- 1Guide prototypes and vendor-built solutions into Hexion-managed production patterns, including solutions built with Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, container platforms, and enterprise SaaS products.
- 2Own the cross-portfolio deployment RAID log, prioritizing business-critical blockers and directing internal and partner resources toward timely resolution.
- 3Own the Azure cloud Architecture Framework and subscriptions/automation and CI/CD strategy for hosting agentic, vibe coded, and other applications.
- 4Support the enterprise architecture review process for new applications, material changes, integrations, and deployment designs.
- 5Create reusable application blueprints and guardrails that internal teams and partners adopt consistently across development, QA, production, and disaster-recovery environments.
- 6Ensure deployment prerequisites are planned and delivered, including VNets and subnets, private endpoints, API Management, container registries and runtimes, secrets, app registrations, SSO, databases, storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
- 7Establish reusable release plans, cutover checklists, rollback procedures, runbooks, monitoring, service-transition, and production-acceptance criteria.
- 8Provide technical oversight across application hosting, APIs and integration, data access, identity, networking, cybersecurity, observability, resilience, scalability, and cost.
- 9Act as an architectural advisor to application owners, engineering teams, infrastructure and security teams, and implementation and hypercare partners.
Requirements9
- 112+ years designing and delivering enterprise applications and technology platforms, including substantial experience in enterprise or application architecture and deployment leadership.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3Deep, hands-on knowledge of Azure application architecture, networking, identity, security, integration, DevOps, and operational-readiness requirements.
- 4Experience with SAP-centered application landscapes and the integration of ERP, data, digital, and SaaS solutions.
- 5Demonstrated ability to establish architecture governance, reusable patterns, deployment gates, and lifecycle standards across a diverse application portfolio.
- 6Strong experience leading multi-environment deployments, cutovers, hypercare, incident triage, and transition to support.
- 7Track record coordinating multiple vendors and distributed technical teams while managing dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and executive escalations.
- 8Ability to connect technical architecture to business outcomes in a manufacturing environment, balancing speed, resilience, cybersecurity, cost, and supportability.
- 9Excellent executive communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to set direction and drive adoption without relying on direct authority.
