What You'll Do7
- 1Safely operate tractor-trailers with refrigerated or dry van trailers on over-the-road routes adhering to all FMCSA and DOT regulations
- 2Perform drop-and-hook deliveries ensuring timely pickup and drop-off of freight without on-site loading or unloading
- 3Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently
- 4Transport various types of freight including refrigerated goods hazardous materials and other cargo requiring special handling
- 5Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards and vehicle maintenance needs
- 6Maintain accurate logs of driving hours cargo documentation and delivery records in accordance with federal regulations
- 7Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates delivery status and any issues encountered during transit
Requirements9
- 1Valid CDL A license with clean driving record
- 2Experience operating tractor-trailers preferred
- 3Proven experience in commercial truck driving including route driving and freight delivery
- 4Knowledge of FMCSA regulations DOT compliance hazardous materials regulations and safety standards
- 5Ability to handle manual transmissions and perform manual handling tasks related to cargo management
- 6Experience with refrigerated trailers flatbeds tankers or automobile transportation is a plus
- 7Strong navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- 8Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety manual handling expertise and adherence to DOT hours-of-service rules
- 9Ability to load and unload freight when necessary following proper logistics cargo handling procedures
