
Agilent OpenLAB CDS Technical Analyst
Overview
Own configuration, build, validation, and release of the global Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x platform (OL:CDS) across enterprise labs. Manage lab deployment resources in Agilent Instrument Controllers (AIC) builds, deployments, and troubleshooting, ensuring stable post-release operations. Coordinate with the Data Movement and Storage Product Team to align releases with infrastructure roadmaps. This role drives critical lab uptime and data integrity for a research infrastructure product line. You will directly shape release quality and operational reliability for scientific workflows.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and configure Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x environments, including instrument control and data acquisition setups.
- 2Validate software releases against lab workflows, documenting defects and driving fixes with development teams.
- 3Manage AIC deployments across laboratory sites, ensuring consistent configuration and performance.
- 4Debug and resolve issues in OpenLAB CDS and instrument communication, minimizing lab downtime.
- 5Coordinate release activities with the Data Movement and Storage team to integrate with enterprise data pipelines.
- 6Oversee post-release operations, monitoring system health and providing on-call support as needed.
- 7Automate deployment and validation scripts using PowerShell and Python to reduce manual effort.
- 8Maintain technical documentation for configuration standards and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in technical analysis or system administration for laboratory informatics platforms like OpenLAB CDS.
- 2Hands-on experience with Agilent Instrument Controllers (AIC) in enterprise environments.
- 33+ years configuring and validating Agilent OpenLAB CDS 2.x in regulated labs (GxP).
- 4Proficiency in SQL for querying instrument data and system logs.
- 5Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation.
- 6Experience with lab network architecture, including TCP/IP and instrument connectivity.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- 8Excellent problem-solving in high-pressure production environments.
