Overview
A remote contractor role for an Aerodynamics Expert. You’ll help shape the next generation of AI-driven aerospace solutions by supplying precise domain knowledge and quality input. What You'll Do7
- 1Assess and solve advanced aerodynamic challenges across external aero, CFD, wind tunnel data, propulsion, and vehicle integration
- 2Critically review AI-generated technical outputs for correctness and engineering quality
- 3Apply seasoned engineering judgment to real world design questions and theoretical problems
- 4Analyze aerodynamic performance using boundary layer theory, compressible flow relations, and data reduction from CFD or wind tunnel tests
- 5Contribute expertise to improve AI reasoning and model behavior in aerodynamics
- 6Document findings with clear written and verbal explanations to support AI learning
- 7Collaborate with a distributed team of experts and project stakeholders remotely
Requirements7
- 1Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on thermofluids or aerodynamics, or equivalent industry experience
- 2Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in aerodynamic design or analysis (external aero, CFD, wind tunnels, propulsion, or vehicle aero)
- 3Deep knowledge of compressible and incompressible flow, boundary layer behavior, turbulence modeling, and propulsion integration
- 4Proven ability to analyze aerodynamic performance using CFD tools, wind tunnel data, and analytical methods
- 5Familiarity with industry standards and testing practices (AIAA, wind tunnel protocols, CFD verification & validation)
- 6Strong communication skills in English, with ability to clearly convey complex concepts
- 7Experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM is a plus
