What You'll Do11
- 1Open all delivered lab specimens verifying sample identity and testing requirements are met
- 2Log specimens into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) ensuring accurate demographic and testing request entry
- 3Maintain positive specimen identification through barcodes and Chain of Custody procedures
- 4Aliquot specimens for initial testing and facilitate delivery to appropriate laboratories
- 5Store specimens per storage requirements allowing easy location post-testing
- 6Aliquot and deliver specimens for repeat or confirmation testing as directed
- 7Comply with safety and quality procedures
- 8Verify samples for discard via Horizon Notify
- 9Participate in process improvements and data collection efforts
- 10Lead others through example and share knowledge
- 11Communicate professionally with coworkers clients vendors and visitors
Requirements3
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Bachelor’s degree in Biology Chemistry or related field preferred
- 3Relevant laboratory experience strongly preferred
